I build the systems companies run on.
Over thirteen years I've moved from writing PHP for a computer education institute in Karachi to managing IT for a UAE group and engineering its internal ERP — task management, project tracking, expense control and invoicing across multi-technology projects.
Most of my work sits where commerce meets operations: Shopify storefronts for regional brands, Laravel back-offices handling sales, purchasing, HR and CRM, and the integrations that keep the two in sync. I've led small teams, owned full delivery lifecycles, and taught the stack to other developers.
Now I bring AI into that same practice — using LLMs and agentic workflows to design systems, scaffold applications and automate the operational work that used to eat entire sprints. Available for full-time or part-time roles.

Information Technology Manager
- Developing an internal ERP system with task management, project tracking, expense management and invoicing, purpose-built for teams running multi-technology projects side by side.
- Managing delivery across WordPress, React, Angular and mobile applications, coordinating the development team so parallel client projects stay on schedule.
- Leading system architecture and technical decision-making, treating scalability, security and performance as design constraints rather than later fixes.
- Integrating third-party APIs and tools to extend platform capability and remove repetitive manual work from daily operations.
- Conducting code reviews and enforcing engineering standards, keeping quality consistent as the team and the codebase grow.
- Administering Linux servers and cloud infrastructure end to end, covering deployments, backups, monitoring, SSL and uptime.

Senior Software Developer
- Developed 2Qlicks.com, a Laravel ERP covering Sales, Purchase, HR and CRM, owning the full lifecycle from architecture and data model through to release and iteration.
- Led a team building and maintaining WordPress websites, setting direction on custom plugin work, theme structure and performance optimisation.
- Built custom WordPress plugins for client-specific functionality no existing plugin covered, keeping sites maintainable and safe to update.
- Integrated third-party APIs and services to extend system capability and take manual steps out of client workflows.
- Conducted code reviews and enforced coding standards, protecting performance and security as the team and codebase grew.
- Provided ongoing technical support, updates and enhancements across live client systems.
Software Developer / Engineer
- Led Shopify delivery as the in-house specialist, building and customising themes and storefront features for e-commerce clients across the portfolio.
- Developed back-end applications and REST APIs in Laravel and PHP, powering both client sites and internal tooling.
- Built front-end interfaces in ReactJS and VueJS as component-driven single-page experiences consuming those APIs.
- Delivered fast static and headless sites with Gatsby, decoupling the presentation layer from the CMS.
- Optimised page speed and front-end performance across client projects, tightening asset loading, images and third-party scripts.
- Worked directly with clients to turn loose requirements into scoped, deliverable work.
Software Developer / Engineer
- Owned Shopify development across all of the company storefronts, spanning multiple regional markets, keeping theme code and storefront features consistent from one region to the next.
- Built custom Liquid themes and storefront functionality rather than working from off-the-shelf templates, tailoring each store to its market, language and product range.
- Developed customised internal solutions in Laravel and VueJS, giving the business purpose-built tools for operations that off-the-shelf software did not cover.
- Designed Laravel back ends with VueJS interfaces layered on top, so internal users worked in responsive single-page screens instead of page-by-page forms.
- Extended storefront behaviour with JavaScript and jQuery, covering custom product and collection logic and enhancements through the cart and checkout journey.
- Maintained and iterated on the live stores across every region, handling catalogue updates, campaign changes and ongoing performance fixes.
Software Engineer
- Built a complete ERP platform spanning Inventory, Purchase, Point of Sale, Sales, Journal Ledger, Reporting and System Logs, with every module working from a single source of truth for stock and financial data.
- Developed a country-level Donation module that accepted contributions online and reconciled them alongside wire transfer, bank transfer and PayPal payments.
- Designed the underlying database schema and reporting layer, tracing each transaction from stock movement through to the financial ledger.
- Implemented system logging and audit trails so operational activity across modules stayed traceable and accountable.
- Maintained and extended the platform in production for over two years, adding modules and resolving issues as operational needs changed.
Faculty Member
- Taught multiple concurrent batches of 10 to 14 students, adapting pace and depth to mixed levels of prior programming experience.
- Delivered hands-on workshops in PHP, WordPress, Joomla and Android, plus assignment workshops in HTML5 and CSS3, so students left each session with working code rather than notes.
- Prepared lectures, lab exercises and assessment material, sequencing each module from fundamentals through to a deployable project.
- Mentored student teams through their projects for IT Vision, the annual software exhibition, from scoping and stack choice to final presentation.
PHP Web Developer
- Maintained the national website end to end, covering course pages, curriculum updates, news and event listings, so published information matched what each centre was actually delivering.
- Ran a monthly publishing cycle for centre-specific pages, gathering content from branches across the country and taking it live on schedule.
- Built custom modules for individual centres, Centre Managers and the Country Manager, giving each tier its own view of centre activity and reporting.
- Developed companion Android applications so course, centre and event information reached students on mobile as well as on the website.
- Handled ongoing fixes, content migrations and cross-browser compatibility work across a long-lived PHP codebase.

Internal Laravel application that tracks company document expiry dates and issues automated reminders ahead of each renewal deadline, with a dashboard for upcoming and overdue items.
